Screenwriting: Language of Action
This workshop focuses on building foundational skills in screenwriting around story structure and creating active scenes. The four sessions center the setup, the play out, and the pay off of traditional three-act story structure, as well as examining our process in creating concise, visual writing. Playwriting and dramaturgy Clients
I truly had no experience in playwriting when I came to Sophia with a full script. Throughout our four sessions, she helped me look at my play as a series of scenes and sequences - really gently and purposefully reframing how I think about my story. She is so knowledgeable about the craft and her advice really went beyond the technical. There are people who will try to rewrite your play, there are people who will tell you what your play is about. Sophia does none of this. She poses great questions so you can step back and consider what’s important in your piece. But beyond that, she does it from a place of positivity and caring.
